Corvinex
Corvinex is four products that are sold in the form of a combined application – a shampoo with the active ingredients, a revitalizing shampoo, a spray to thicken the hair and vitamin tablets.
Taken in that order we can address the rationale of this approach. Minoxidil is a known androgen blocker and is found in a 5% solution in the treatment shampoo, along with a 5% solution of Azeleic Acid and Emu Oil; these last two ingredients are meant to promote dormant hair follicle growth.
The revitalizing shampoo does not contain the active ingredient but does have the same ingredients as the oral treatment and is a hair conditioner as well. A known side effect of Minoxidil is to create a dryness of the scalp and promote dandruff, so the regular use of a shampoo to condition the hair and scalp is a counter measure to this effect, and is also a method of applying the oral vitamins to the outside as well as the inside.
The follicle spray contains herbs, minerals, amino acids, oils and copper peptides in a combination said to promote hair regrowth. The principle objective is to surround the hair follicles with the richest growth conditions possible, as a farmer would with his crops.
The oral part of the treatment is in the form of vitamin tablets, which are in the form of herbs and ingredients that are believed to improve the condition of hair.
How it Works
The primary ingredient is the only FDA approved application that is known to promote regrowth in dormant hair follicles. This works through the inhibition of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) delivered by the use of a 5% solution of Minoxidil in the shampoo product. Combined with this is a 5% Azeleic Acid and Emu Oil solution: the former is also believed to work in the same way as Minoxidil, and the latter is said by the manufacturers to be proven to regenerate hair follicle regrowth; so these two ingredients are meant to boost the effect of Minoxidil. The non-active ingredient shampoo is simply a conditioner to counter the dandruff effect of the Minoxidil, but that also delivers the vitamin regime to the scalp, and the oral vitamins are meant to feed as much goodness to the hair regrowth region as possible from the inside out, as it were.
